Contemporary Drum Tuition

Drum lessons cover technique, feel, a range of contemporary styles, theory, and playing to music. I have played and taught drums for over 20 years, including teaching the Rock School drum curriculum as an itinerant music teacher at Gisborne Girls College.

Adaptive music lessons

Playing music and exploring sounds can be therapeutic, and gently encourages growth, communication and expression.  In adaptive music lessons, sessions are adapted for the individual and the focus is on the musical process more-so than technique and skill. We may use drums and a range of other percussion instruments.
